Global Sales Director
Location: Amsterdam
Contact: 32 - 40 hours per week
The Global Sales Director is responsible for defining and executing the global commercial strategy for Goldbergh across all sales channels and markets.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the role owns the brand’s global revenue performance and distribution strategy, overseeing wholesale partnerships, international market expansion, retail growth, and collaboration with the e-commerce business.
The position leads the global sales organization, including merchandising, and works closely with Marketing, Design, and Operations to ensure commercial success across all collections.
This role is both strategic and operational, requiring strong leadership, international market expertise, and deep relationships within the luxury and premium fashion retail landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Global Commercial Strategy
- Define and lead the global commercial strategy aligned with the company’s long-term growth objectives.
- Drive revenue growth across wholesale, retail, and strategic partnerships, while collaborating with Marketing on DTC development.
- Ensure consistent brand positioning and controlled distribution aligned with luxury brand standards.
- Own the commercial planning process, including seasonal sales campaigns, market strategies, and distribution frameworks.
Wholesale & Key Account Development
- Lead and expand relationships with international luxury retailers, department stores, and specialty partners.
- Oversee the global sell-in strategy and seasonal market appointments.
- Identify and secure new strategic accounts across key luxury retail markets.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership frameworks.
International Expansion
- Drive market expansion across the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas while strengthening existing European markets.
- Identify strategic retail partners, distributors, and franchise opportunities in priority regions.
- Develop regional strategies that balance brand positioning, growth, and controlled distribution.
Retail & Marketplace Growth
- Support the expansion of retail and branded environments globally.
- Identify and manage marketplace partnerships that align with the brand’s luxury positioning.
- Ensure strong alignment between wholesale distribution and retail strategy.
Merchandising Leadership
- Lead the global merchandising function, ensuring collections are commercially optimized across markets.
- Translate market insights and sales data into product and assortment strategies.
- Work closely with Design to ensure product development aligns with commercial demand and seasonal trends.
Sales Leadership & Organization
- Lead and develop the global sales organization, including regional sales leadership and merchandising.
- Establish clear commercial objectives, performance frameworks, and sales processes.
- Build a scalable sales structure capable of supporting international growth.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with:
- Marketing (brand and e-commerce growth)
- Design (collection development)
- Operations & Supply Chain (delivery planning and inventory management)
- Ensure strong alignment between product, brand storytelling, and commercial performance.
Financial Ownership
- Own the global sales P&L, including revenue targets, margin performance, and budget planning.
- Lead forecasting, seasonal order planning, and commercial performance analysis.
- Provide strategic reporting and insights to the CEO and leadership team.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- Significant leadership experience in global sales or commercial roles within premium or luxury fashion.
- Proven track record of scaling international wholesale distribution.
- Experience managing global retail partnerships and international markets.
- Demonstrated success driving commercial growth while protecting brand equity.
