How do you make sure you start and stay fit into the new year?

I focus on just doing my best for today, if I am struggling to start a workout, I simply ‘just’ start without procrastination. I aim to only get the first 10 minutes done, by the time the 10 minutes are up, I’m always feeling more motivated and energized to keep going. Secondly, I focus on a well-balanced workout structure for the next 7 days, this is so important for staying motivated and injury free.

Finally, I focus on the post workout feeling, the well-being benefits of moving my body. This keeps me coming back for more and showing up consistently because the reward is immediate.

What are your resolutions for 2023

Number one. to go for a run at least once a week. I love being outside, whether rain or shine, the fresh air does wonders for my mental well-being.

Number two; to try something totally new each month, this month I’m focusing on cooking new healthy, nutritious evening meals.

Number three; be more grateful for my general health. Be happier for what I do have rather than what I don’t.

Do you have any tips to make it easier to keep your resolutions during the year?

Short, realistic goals. Breaking down the long term goals into smaller weekly or even daily wins.

Write down your plan for each week. No matter how small, tick it off and give yourself a big pat on the back.

Small wins are what make up big wins!
